I started by collecting Matchbox 1-75 models but gradually have found others I like so the collection is now rather diverse. I have had a few Corgi Formula 1 cars for years but have now acquired a few more.
I have recently started to collect Ferrari models, unfortunately there are rather a lot and the more detailed ones I prefer are not cheap.

Only one was built to compete in the 1968 Le Mans.
Unfortunately during testing in wet weather the design let in so much water that it flooded the electrics.
The 3 Litre Repco Brabham Formula One engine that had been fitted was removed and a less expensive Buick V8 fitted with the intention of registering it for road use.
It was taken and shown in America where it was sold.
It has remained in the same ownership ever since and has been back to Britain in 2009 to compete at Prescott for the Marcos 50 year anniversary. It has also competed at Goodwood. 1 Larger images are available for this model - View Large
